Looking back over the last month, here are our favourites (with a shout out to the photographers):
The Story: Back in 2011, many of Vancouver Island's railway lines were closed indefinitely. Since then, many of the tracks have been turned into beautiful hiking paths. Standing in the middle of some of the highest trestles on Vancouver Island like Kinsol and Goldstream offers both incredible views and a real rush of adrenaline! (📸 @_adayinseptember)
Paddy's Island, NS
The Story: Paddy's Island is located on North Medford beach in Nova Scotia. This little gem is just one of the few sandstone formations in the area that can be explored by foot at low tide and by kayak at high tide! (📸 @roamingscotian)
Skerwink Trail, NL
The Story: Located near Port Rexton, Newfoundland, this beautiful hiking trail follows the cliffs and beaches of the east coast. If you’re lucky, you might even see some whales along the way! (📸 @ricebowl17)
The Story: Have you ever visited a ghost town? If you find yourself driving through southwest Saskatchewan, be sure to stretch your legs at Neidpath. In it's heyday, with it's hundreds of bustling town members, Neidpath had a pool hall, a few hotels, and even a phone company! Now, all that remains are a couple of old grain elevators, a small church, some crumbling foundations, and this 1950s era Austin A40 Somerset. (📸 @anitafaye71)
The Story: Did you know that Banff was Canada's first National Park? Each year, over three million people from around the globe travel to this picture-perfect destination to explore all the beauty it has to offer. (@swbugas)
